Cooperation Project with the Swedish Tax Administration: RSTA Junior Auditors Training Launched

The training of junior tax auditors of Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, who have shorter work experience in tax audit, began today in Banja Luka and will last until Friday, and it is being implemented within the cooperation project with the Swedish Tax Administration, and all four tax administrations in Bosnia and Herzegovina participate in its implementation.

This three-day training, entitled “Procedure of tax audit in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Srpska”, is being carried out in the premises of Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka, and organized by the Team of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska for audit training, established within the aforementioned project with Swedish Tax Administration, the implementation of which is ongoing.

At the very beginning of the training, the director of Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, Goran Maričić, addressed the attendees, pointing out to the importance of implementing the project with the Swedish Tax Administration, emphasizing that the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska achieved numerous benefits through long-term cooperation with colleagues from Sweden, particularly when it comes to exchanging experiences and taking over the best practice in work, especially if we take into account that it is the Swedish Tax Administration that achieves enviable results in its work.

The goal of the training is for the junior auditors from all regional centers of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska to acquire new knowledge, skills, as well as to hear about the experiences of colleagues from Sweden, in order for the effects of their audits to be best possible.

Along with the experts from Swedish Tax Administration, the training shall be attended by representatives of other tax administrations from BiH as well – Indirect Taxation Administration of BiH, Tax Administration of FBiH, and Tax Administration of Brčko District of BiH that are also participants of the project with the Swedish Tax Administration.

In that regard, the training of junior auditors is organized and carried out based on the Guide for Trainers, prepared by the Audit Training Team in the previous period while working on this project, and the knowledge and experience acquired from all professional missions held so far shall be applied within the training and under the mentorship of experts from the Swedish Tax Administration.
