In future, the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska and the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro will intensify mutual cooperation in the area of direct taxes, which will be primarily directed to the improvement of the exchange of information and experience in tax procedures.
This was highlighted at the meeting between Goran Maričić, Director of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska and Aleksandar Damjanović, Acting Director of the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro, which was held in Banja Luka today.
In addition to more intensive cooperation through the exchange of information, the meeting also highlighted the commitment to the implementation of joint projects in the future, such as the organization of joint trainings and study visits, with the aim of a more complete exchange of experiences.
During the meeting, Director Maričić informed his colleague from Montenegro on the performance of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, the achieved level of tax discipline, as well as the achievements in the area of digitalization in the RS Tax Administration i.e. pertaining all electronic services that were introduced to RS taxpayers with the aim of facilitating and simplifying tax compliance. Moreover, Maričić and Damjanović also discussed current topics such as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the performance of tax administrations, as well as the economic consequences of the pandemic outbreak in Republic of Srpska and Montenegro.
Director Maričić said that the visit of the delegation of the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro was very important, since the improvement of cooperation and mutual exchange of experiences would be very useful for the better work of both institutions.
