Director Maričić met with a delegation from the Center of Excellence in Finance from Slovenia: Continuing successful cooperation between Tax Administration and the CEF

Goran Maričić, the Director of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, spoke today in Banja Luka with Jana Repanšek, the Director of the Center of Excellence in Finance – CEF, an international organization located in Ljubljana and specialized in training of civil servants in the area of public finance and central banking in the region of Southeast Europe.

The talking points at the meeting included the very good and useful cooperation the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska has had to date with the CEF, as well as the successful implementation of the ongoing Project to support the countries of the Southeast Europe, which is financed by the Slovenian Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, the Project, inter alia, focuses on learning about the institutional, team and individual needs of the Project beneficiaries, one of which is the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska.

Director Maričić thanked the CEF delegation for today’s visit, as well as for the successful cooperation to date and the many benefits it has brought, especially when it comes to professional training in the area of public finance management and tax systems.

It is important to also acknowledge that the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska joined the CEF in 2013. Since then, the Tax Administration has participated in multiple workshops organized by the CEF in cooperation with the IMF, the European Commission and other partners, including topics related to the fight against tax fraud and cybercrime, tax audit, and how the compliance risk management affects the tax morality, digitalization and IT systems, etc.
