Director of the Republic of Srpska Tax Administration Goran Maričić is participating at the 16th Plenary Meeting of the Global Forum for Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, which began yesterday in Lisbon, Portugal, and which is attended by more than 170 representatives from all over the world, including the EU countries, OECD member states, G20 members, as well as all major international financial centers.
This Forum represents the world’s largest international cooperation network in the field of taxation and information exchange, which BiH joined in 2018, where the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska is responsible for the exchange of information in the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
This year’s 16th Global Forum Plenary Meeting, which will last until Friday, December 1, will take stock of the progress made in implementing the standard on the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts. Furthermore, the Global Forum will give its assessment regarding the confidentiality and protection of the data being exchanged.
The meeting is also an opportunity to discuss issues of international tax cooperation and exchange of information on request.
