Zora Vidovic, director of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, participated yesterday in panel discussion in Sarajevo organized by Swedish Tax Agency, within the project “Strengthening Capacities of Tax Administrations in BiH”, in which all four tax administrations in BiH participated.
Beside director Vidovic, directors of other three tax administrations in BiH and deputy director of Swedish Tax Agency with his coworkers as well as Swedish ambassador in BiH with his coworkers were present in the panel. Also, members of team for change of mindset of employees and team for taxpayers services from all four tax administrations in BiH, that directly work in realization of this project together with experts of Swedish Tax Agency in these area, were present in workshops the previous day as well as in the panel discussion.
Within the workshops and the panel, several presentations took place in which Swedish Tax Agency representatives presented the ways of how they did transformation from fully repressive into service oriented Tax Administration toward taxpayers. Also, team representatives from tax administrations in BiH presented implemented activities so far, as well as plans for the next period.
During her speech in the panel, director Vidovic pointed out that this is a very important project by which the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska will adopt positive experiences from Swedish colleagues and on the basis of that experiences will improve its work, with the aim of transformation into modern, reliable and service oriented tax administration. She emphasized that members of teams from the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska that has been working on this project have her absolute support but the support of all Tax Administration management as well as line Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Srpska whose representative was also present on this panel.
Vidovic emphasized that she was encouraged by the realization of the project so far and she expressed the expectation that it would be even more effective in the coming period, with the aim of taking the best practices from Swedish Tax Agency colleagues.
